When you turn on your TV or fire up your social media accounts, you can’t help but be inundated with politics. Politics are life. The face of modern day politics, however, is anything but modern. Worldwide, we see politics full of your typical old faces – even though millennials make up the largest group of people and voting age individuals across the world.
At least one man would like to see that change in some way. Patrick Stewart, coming off his latest movie The Kid Who Would Be King says of his young co-stars that he would love to see 14 year olds in the voting booth.
Taken from Hollywood.com, “I hear talk now that 14-year-olds should have the vote, and after the experience I’ve had with these young people in this film I would certainly vote for that… there is too much self-interest in politics, holding on to power, increasing their power, being proved to be right, all those things I despise, and if we had Angus and Louie sitting on the frontbench, I think we might have more hope for the future.”
