As different brands look to invade the Asian markets it’s seems like a no-brainer to use NBA athletes with that being such a huge sport for many there. And with the popularity of Jeremy Lin and his potential to be the next big Asian star, Volvo intends to capitalize. Jeremy Lin is now the brand ambassador for China. Last week a commercial for his campaign was revealed there. The ad depicts Lin leaving in a red Volvo XC60 and as all the black limos turn one direction he turns the opposite direction and takes his own path. He narrates, “I’m not here to live up to anyone else’s expectations; I’m here to live up to mine. I’m Jeremy Lin.” The final tagline, in Chinese, “I am Jeremy Lin.
