Gang Activity in Koreatown – MMXLII

Gang Activity in Koreatown

By reading that headline you probably wouldn’t think that it was for real.  But the 4 acts of violence in that area [that are more than likely related] are traced to latin gangs in the neighborhoods.  Does this headline give a false representation of the Korean culture in this section of Los Angeles?  With that concentration of Latino’s there is it a false representation to refer to that area as Koreatown?  If they weren’t to refer to it that way would it be seen as wrong for “renaming” the area because of crimes [similar to when areas of Los Angeles are lumped in as South Central during tragic events]?  Leave your thoughts in the comments, we’d love to hear from you.
