Well the Olympics are over and we have to wait another four years before we can see a the next competition but we won’t forget all the storylines. Some of the biggest storylines were as we have already noted the amount of history that women across the world made. Whether it was breaking records, being the first African-American woman to win an event or something as big as being the first woman to ever represent your country, it’s obvious that women left a huge imprint on the XXX Olympic Games. With that said we have to point out the United States women in regards to the game. As many saw the United States took home the most medals and for the first time, the majority of the medals were won by our women. This historical note is a nod to changes in America’s history in relations to women’s rights. Check out this clip via CNN as they make mention of it. Another thing to think about, is the United States able to place in so many events because of the makeup of our society. With a diverse range of ethnic backgrounds for our citizens does this help us to be strong in various events compared to countries with a less diverse makeup that may only be strong in a few events?
