At a time where women are pushing for change and leading new thoughts, venture capitalists are still hesitant to give women founders the push they need to succeed. Despite professional reports that detail how women are more opportunity-driven than men, only 15% of all US venture capital dollars went to women-owned startups in 2017 according to All Raise.

Women are coming to the table more eager and more hungry than men, and are walking away undervalued and under-appreciated.

Research also shows that startups with at least one woman founder have outperformed startups that boast an all-male founder team. It’s time that we show up for women in a meaningful and impactful way. There are no more excuses to be made. History and data shows that we need women in power more than ever. Now it’s time for VC’s and Silicon Valley to step up.
