US Congress Upset About Jay-Z & Beyonce’s Trip to Cuba?

For their 5th wedding anniversary entertainment power couple Beyoncé and Shawn Carter [Jay-Z] took a trip to Cuba. The fans loved it, but a couple members of Cuba are not happy. Not only are they not happy but they’re investigating the trip?

Below is a video from USA Today highlighting Cuban-American members of Congress, both from Florida, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart who are very curious as to what the “Carters” did to travel there. Special licenses are needed to travel to the communist island. As the Huffington Post stated in an article:

U.S. citizens are not allowed to travel to Cuba for mere tourism, though they can get a license for academic, religious, journalistic or cultural exchange visits.

The two Congress members have written the Treasury Department to inquire about details of the trip. Is this really a big deal or are these two Congress members trying to make a name for themselves in blowing this situation up? On the other side of things, if special permits are required to visit, how did the Carters gain access? Was their a journalistic or cultural experience that happened? We’re sure there was something that they wished to see and experience by going there. But then again if you let entertainment tell it, the Carters may have just done something to be “above the law” Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
