Urban Gun Violence Soars – What is being done to stop it?

The massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School prompted the latest effort to tackle gun safety. But unfortunately, shootings are common in many urban areas across the country. The blog Crime in Chicago reports that 16 school-age children have been shot there so far this year, and in Oakland, Calif., there have been at least 13 homicides since Sandy Hook. Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., joins Jennifer Granholm in “The War Room” to talk about urban gun violence and what needs to be done to ensure public safety. – Current
