An interesting article we found on Huffington Post about the stereotype of Asian-Americans and education. Though they are infiltrating colleges percentage wise and entering some of the top fields, according to Richard Lui there are many Asian-Americans who are born into poverty and never see college. There is a large amount of Asian-Americans who do not fit the mainstream “perception” of Asian-Americans and Lui highlights this by sharing his story and other various stats like “Over 60 percent of certain AAPI segments have not attended college according to the National Commission on Asian American and Pacific Islander Research in Education.”
