Rodney King Found Dead Over the Weekend [VIDEO]

The victim of the notorious LAPD beating which sparked what we know as the L.A. Riots of 1992 was found dead this weekend.  The above is a news clip courtesy of the Associate Press.  Rodney King was 47.

While we’re on the subject of the L.A. Riots, let’s highlight this video that Thurz dropped right on time for the 20th Anniversary of the L.A. Riots.  The music video is called Fuck the Police and is the current single for Thurz album L.A. Riot, which was based off of the event.

Yesterday marked the 20 year anniversary of the L.A. Riots but as you know they lasted for longer than a day.  NBC LA is giving the people the chance to relive these historical event via Twitter.  Through @RealTimeLARiots you can see live tweeting of the occurrences of this time.  Social Media wasn’t what it is today so it’s a very interesting dynamic to report history with.
