Smartphones Pass Laptops as Preferred Web Devices in UK

For the first time, mobile phones have passed laptops as the preferred device for surfing the internet in the UK. 33% of British people primarily go to their mobile devices for web activity, as opposed to 30% who go to laptops.

With the growing number of people using mobile devices, the number of “selfies” has also increased tremendously as well. One in ten adults have admitted to taking at least one “selfie” per week. Adults in the UK spend at least two hours a day using their mobile devices for internet access. Currently 90% of British homes have 4G mobile internet access and it is expected to rise to nearly 98% by the year 2017. Read more here.
