‘Pivot’-ing Towards Change; A TV Network Targeting Millennials

Much has been made about Millennials and their influence, their voice, their behaviors, etc. With this in mind brands are clamoring for their attention and a new television network is being dedicated to them: Pivot.

The new cable network is looking to capture the attention of the 85 million 15-34 year olds and entertain them with messages of social change and more. The network is looking to employ several celebrities to push then channel onto their radar. Celebrities include Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Meghan McCain, plus there are media partnerships in place with Univision and Rolling Stone.

In an apparent first, the channel’s entire lineup also will be available via a mobile app to viewers who don’t subscribe to cable, at a monthly cost paid to Internet providers that’s “less than a cup of coffee,” promises Pivot president Evan Shapiro.
