Nike Air Force 1 “Year of the Snake”

For the past few years Nike has been giving nods to Asian culture with their Chinese New Year styled packs. With another year comes another theme, this time it’s “Year of the Snake” and this time around the Nike Air Force 1 gets the treatment. Below is a explanation of the Air Force 1 pack.  Which one will you get? Are you getting it because of the limited quantities? The celebration of Asian culture or just because you think the shoe is cool? Let us know.

Nike has just unveiled the “Year of the Snake” Air Force 1, marking 11 years of Chinese Zodiac-themed footwear. This latest release, available in both high and low-top versions, features, as one might expect, liberal doses of snakeskin. First up is the low-top model which sports a vibrant red leather upper with tonal snakeskin panelling on the toebox and side panel and contrasting black swoosh, purple lining and black and purple sole; this bright make-up brings together a mix of colors that are rarely seen together but work well on this release. The high-top version also finds itself playing host to an assortment of colors; the black leather upper plays second fiddle to the colored snakeskin inserts on the toebox, side panels, swoosh, ankle strap and eyelets. Both versions offer eye-catching looks and make great additions to the already impressive list of Chinese New Year shoes from Nike. – Hypebeast
