The new Netflix show “Master of None” has been repeatedly praised for its authenticity and tremendous impact in bringing minority representation to light in Hollywood. Its star, Aziz Ansari, has also been more outspoken about the issues surrounding the “still kind of unbalanced” realm both in front of and behind the camera. With diversification expanding around the globe, it is surprising to find that people are more fascinated than they should be by the amount of diversity there is on the show.
“People have been really asking about that because my show has a really diverse cast,” he said. “That’s kind of my reality. I am Indian in real life. I kind of reflected that in the show. I didn’t expect that to be as big a thing it was, but it’s very cool.”
