First Asian American Olympian to Win Gold Turns 92, Recounts Practicing Diving into Sand Pit [VIDEO]

As much as the Olympics show the diversity of the world and bring people together it sometimes doesn’t expose some of the actual negatives of the world.  We hear about conflicts between countries and people use the Olympics as a platform to voice their opinions about other countries…but what about the ugliness of your own country.  Case in point…the United States has different nationalities that can represent the one country and it looks like all these people are equal there.  But then you hear stories like this one where the first Asian American Olympian to win gold wasn’t allowed to train in the pool because he wasn’t white.  He was told only the whites could win gold.  Check out his story below.
