Ethiopia Elects Its First Woman President

Oh, happy day! Progress may be a slow process but change is happening all around us and it’s beautiful! The East African nation of Ethiopia has just elected its first woman President, Sahle-Work Zewde.

The 69 year old has served as the UN’s rep to the African Union in addition to holding top diplomatic representing Ethiopia.
