Derrick Rose Breaks Down About the Violence Where He Grew Up [VIDEO]

There has been plenty of negative press about the Englewood area of Chicago as the murders seem to increase weekly.  Last weekend supposedly there were 50 murders.  Most of them being teenagers in gang related shootings.  Now the teachers there are on strike and the kids are now sitting idle in neighborhoods where there the gang violence is running rapid.  These children are faced with situations similar to civil war ridden countries as they are being raised in the midst of conflicts they don’t fully understand but most adapt to survive, sometimes not with the same goals someone like Derrick Rose has as he looked to be in the NBA.  In other words, the children are participating in the conflict and we can tell them to go to school and make the right decisions but with no school to go to, who’s looking out for the best interest of these children?  It’s good to see Derrick Rose have a genuine reaction to the situation and tweet about it as well.  This is the kind of example that these children need to see.
