We have to hand it to the team. Burger King has been doing everything it can to make a splash on social media. From smart mascot placement to the recent stint with long-time rival McDonald’s, its viral marketing strategies have been effective in gaining the public’s attention. And it seems there’s no shortage of ideas.
In preparation for Halloween, Burger King unveiled the A.1.® Halloween Whopper, a different version of the chain’s signature sandwich with A.1.® steak sauce baked into the black bun. While news of the burger made initial rounds just off its look, now it’s causing a stir due to an unexpected and unusual side effect: green poop.
Some find it horrendous, while others declare it hilarious. Either way, this campaign is one for the books.
